FAQs/Things to Know

  • Lunch: Please send lunch and a refillable water bottle every day; snacks are optional, but encouraged. We designate two 10-minute snack/break periods throughout the day. Due to food allergies, we do NOT supply food at camp. We designate an allergen-free table if necessary.

  • Groups: We separate children into groups based on age. Group A is for children ages 5-7. Group B is for children ages 8-10. With parental permission, we can honor group requests. This is not a guarantee, but we will do our best to group children based on requests we receive (e.g., putting a 6-year-old sibling with a 9-year-old sibling in Group B).

  • Camper Concerns: If at ANY time during camp a conflict arises between campers, please do not hesitate to contact Allie with your concerns. It is our duty to ensure your child feels safe and has a positive experience at camp.

  • Counselor Concerns: If you are concerned with something you have witnessed or have been told that reflects negatively on a counselor and/or our camp, please inform Allie ASAP. It is our expectation that all campers are treated with respect and dignity. If at any time you feel your child has been treated poorly by a staff member, please inform Allie. This behavior is NOT tolerated and will be corrected immediately.

  • Clothing: Please send campers in comfortable clothing appropriate for outdoor activities. Closed-toe shoes are required (sneakers, boots, Crocs). Please send a change of clothes as well.

  • Sprinklers/Water Activities: Please send a swimsuit/trunks and a towel for sprinkler activities. We do NOT have pools or ponds at camp, but we do utilize sprinklers and refillable water “balloons.”

  • Medication: Please do not send OTC medication with campers. If you wish to administer any medication (aside from asthma inhalers or EpiPens), you must come to camp to do so for your child. We do not administer medication at camp, as we are not permitted to do so by the county health department. If OTC medication is found at camp, it is a violation of county health codes and we risk losing our permit to operate. We appreciate your cooperation.

  • Animals: We have many animals at camp that we interact with each day. These include alpacas, sheep, goats, rabbits, chickens, and Akbash dogs. We require campers to wash/sanitize their hands after petting or feeding animals. Please inform us of any allergies before your camper arrives at camp. While animals are part of our program, we are not a “traditional farm camp,” in that animals are not the ENTIRE focus of our program.

  • Phones/Electronics: We appreciate campers not bringing tablets, phones, or handheld gaming devices. If you need to contact your child(ren), you may call the camp number. If children bring these devices, they are required to leave it in their backpack for the entirety of the day, no exceptions. *This policy does NOT apply to nonverbal children who utilize communication devices.*

  • Staff: All of our staff members undergo background checks upon hiring, both at the state and federal levels.

  • Drop-off and Pick-up: Please do not arrive any earlier than 8:45am for drop-off. Please do not pick-up any later than 4:15pm. Emergencies happen, and we understand that. However, we reserve the right to charge a late pick-up fee of $10 per 5 minutes after 4:15pm for repeatedly late pick-ups. Campers may ONLY be picked up by parents/guardians listed on registration paperwork. Appropriate identification must be shown at time of release if we are not familiar with you. Sorry, we do not offer AM or PM care.

  • Tuition Fee and Refund Policy: There are NO REFUNDS after May 1, 2024. The tuition fee is $250 per camper. Sorry, we do not offer a sibling discount. Payment plans are available upon request.
